Outdoor lighting

One of the (many) decisions to be made has been over the external lights and I found what I wanted here. The lights I liked are 92 pounds each (ha!) but on top of that it is an English website/company who won't send items to Australia anyway. So that was that ... or was it?

I'm getting a lot of my internal lights from Recollections and it was when I was looking through their spring sale catalogue that I found these. Look at the price! Ok, so they are galvanised steel instead of enamel but the shape is pretty much the same.

They looked even dodgier (is this a word?) in the flesh, but I was on a roll by this time and keen to have lights for the electrician's next visit. So I primed them with rustguard for $11, then sealed them and used my house paints (at no additional cost) for the final coats - dulux hogs bristle inside and the colourbond blue gloss on the outside and there you have it!

I'll post a photo of them in situ soon.

The similarity is quite uncanny. You did good!
