This week just seems to be going on a bit long. I blame it mostly on too much colour chart time but it could also be an absent husband in Helsinki or the sad loss of our chicken, Chiri. Mostly though it is just renovation-decision-overload! And I seriously need some sleep.
Things slowed down this week. Two of the builders were in and out on other jobs, the plumber was waiting on the bathroom mixer (and is still waiting - why did it have to be THAT item not to turn up on Monday?) and the electrician was here, but there was little visible evidence.
In the big visibility stakes, the painter turned up on Tuesday and began washing down the front part of the house. And today he began painting on the new colours. At first he panicked and came to me worried that it was far too light (this, to someone who had been considering one of the many shades of white in the world!), but after a quick drive around the block checking a couple of houses (as you do) things calmed down and we were both willing to continue on rather than messing with the formula. I like the colour - less yellowy, more white than the original. Cool!
