I was also surprised to see how the plumbing was attached when I went into the new section, after the builder had left. It just seemed wild to me!

Recycling and plumbing surprises
Remember those early shots of our demolition? There were lots of oregon timbers, now lying in a pile awaiting their next incarnation. Well, yesterday I heard from my kitchen maker that ten years ago he came to our house to pick up a load of wood that came out of our roof when renovation number 1 happened. He went on to build many a kitchen out of it apparently!
I was also surprised to see how the plumbing was attached when I went into the new section, after the builder had left. It just seemed wild to me!

It's best not to look at the bits you won't be able to see later. Hopefully these guys know what they're doing :)
