Spring fever

So much for winter - but thanks to the gods for the great renovating weather! Our plaster is being banged into place as I type - and I'll post photos later- but I just thought I'd update while I wait.

We had a slight drama when we got home from dropping M to the airport and couldn't find Moz, our fluffy grey (and adventurous) cat. We looked in all the usual sleeping/hiding spots, and then outside - even though we knew he couldn't be out there. But where was he? Three hours and a batch of scones later we heard a noise at the old chimney.

Sure enough, although not a cry was heard there he was high on top. It took a ladder and a box and two people to get him down. Lucky we found him before the plasterers arrived today!

Meanwhile George the painter has been going non-stop, sealing all the peeled areas and slowly removing all traces of mountain blue (now repackaged as ocean deep - which is quite appropriate for this region which runs between the mountains and the sea!)

Ahh, the new colours look great (although I don't mind me a bit of 'ocean blue')!
